Good Touch/Bad Touch

Our Good Touch/Bad Touch program is a preventive program that teaches healthy and safe touch as well as personal boundaries to young children. This program is designed to teach children appropriate forms of touch when dealing with their bodies. In this program, diagrams are used to illustrate to young children appropriate and inappropriate areas on their bodies that others may touch them. In addition to teaching appropriate/inappropriate forms of touch, this program also identifies safe and unsafe individuals who children can allow to touch them. At the end of this program, children have learned they have the right to put boundaries on their bodies. If someone violates those boundaries, children are taught safe people and places within their community where they can go to receive help.
