Creative Arts

“Art allows us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.” 

In Cambodia, the arts are not taught in public schools; only private schools offer them, if students are fortunate. Because the arts are not included in school curriculums, the creative potential of many students remains untapped, leaving a wealth of talent undiscovered.

At Women Are Gold, we share a deep love for art, and we have quickly realized that our beneficiaries and community members love art as much as we do.  

Through our creative arts program, girls are given the opportunity to create, use their imagination, uncover hidden talents, express themselves, and enjoy the arts. We provide a wide variety of projects and mediums for the girls to explore. Engaging in creative arts allows the girls to step away from the pressures of school, family, and home, giving them the chance to relax and enjoy an activity outside of reading or studying.
